Samsung to use Aluminium in Galaxy S5

We know Samsung phones are made with plastic, be it high end, mid range or low end, but rumours suggest that the new next high end Galaxy device, Galaxy S5 will be constructed with Aluminium. Reports are that Samsung is working with the company which makes Aluminium frames for MacBook Air, iPad Mini and HTC One.

Microsoft Surface Pro 2 announced

Microsoft announced its next Surface tablet Yesterday, 23^rd September, with two models, Surface 2 and Surface Pro 2. The Surface 2 will be running Windows 8.1 RT and Surface Pro 2 will run Windows 8.1 Pro. Microsoft has improved the hardware specification and also made some accessories for the tablets, like touch cover, power cover and others. The Surface 2 start at $449, with 32GB and 64GB storage options while Surface Pro 2 starts at $899 with 64GB and 128GB configurations with 4 GB of RAM and 256GB and 512GB configurations with 8 GB of RAM.

Google Keep review - App just for some quick notes

Google Keep is a relatively new entry in the note taking space and when it was first launched, I personally thought its of no use. At that time my notes were well kept in Evernote and Springpad and I was not looking for another note taking app, but soon after I just gave it a shot and tried it for some time.

BBM to hit Android with Samsung Galaxy devices

BBM the Blackberry messenger was about to get available on Android and iOS, but it is still not available and there are little signs of it coming out. Some claims are that the BBM will be available on Android first and that too only for Samsung's Galaxy smartphones to begin with.

Samsung Galaxy S4 mini coming 20th of June

Samsung is all set to host and event on June 20th and with that it will be coming up with a list of devices. This will not be the event where you can expect Galaxy Note 3 announcement but surely a smaller and cheaper brother of Galaxy S4, the Galaxy S4 mini. S4 mini is expected to be a 4 inches device with a dual-core processor.

The price will be on the lower side but its good to see that Samsung is not giving up on the resolution of the device, it will be a 4-inch qHD 960 x 540 resolution display, comparing it with what they did with Galaxy Grand, the move is in the right direction.

Why there is no BBM for Windows phone

Blackberry officially announced that it will be launching BBM for both Android and iOS, but Windows users might be thinking, they needed it too. One can consider that the Windows market is not that big and keeping that in mind Blackberry is not pushing out a version for Windows devices, but this is not the only reason. Blackberry clearly knows that it is never going to overtake iOS and Android's market share and it will have to satisfy with that number 3 spot.

Google looking for another Jelly bean instead of Key Lime Pie

Google Play 4.0 the new look of the Android marketplace

Google Play might be getting an update to the version 4.0 with a new look and some added functionality very soon. The new redesign is more of what Google have been pushing on Android, the holo feel and also some big images, making things look more neat and attractive in some way. The look can be compared to what you see in Google now, the simple interface and cards to show the list of apps, books or anything else Play store has to offer in your part of the world. Samsung Galaxy S4 to release on 26th April in UK

UK's carrier EE has stated that samsung Galaxy S4 will be officially available from 26th of April on its 4G network. Still there's no word from the carrier about the price of the device but it will be clear when Galaxy S4 will be available for pre-order on 28th of March.

Google keep, do we need it..?

Google finally came up with some note taking service but I am not to sure that it will be able to stay for a long time. This is just another Google product which is expect to end before it even started. Google Keep is not a bad project but note taking is a thing which is well dominated by Evernote and they are doing good with the service, you have clients for every platform and they are all free. Google Keep is all synced up with Google drive and it could be just a little add up to Google's cloud service which some people will love using, specially those who use Google docks to store random thoughts.
