KitKat design images leak, the new version of android with new look

Android 4.4 KitKat images have leaked and clearly shows some design changes to the new version of Android. The notification bar looks a little different in the leaked images and the stock Android apps like message and phone have now got a new user interface, even the icons look a little different.

Samsung to use Aluminium in Galaxy S5

We know Samsung phones are made with plastic, be it high end, mid range or low end, but rumours suggest that the new next high end Galaxy device, Galaxy S5 will be constructed with Aluminium. Reports are that Samsung is working with the company which makes Aluminium frames for MacBook Air, iPad Mini and HTC One.

Microsoft Surface Pro 2 announced

Microsoft announced its next Surface tablet Yesterday, 23rd September, with two models, Surface 2 and Surface Pro 2. The Surface 2 will be running Windows 8.1 RT and Surface Pro 2 will run Windows 8.1 Pro. Microsoft has improved the hardware specification and also made some accessories for the tablets, like touch cover, power cover and others. The Surface 2 start at $449, with 32GB and 64GB storage options while Surface Pro 2 starts at $899 with 64GB and 128GB configurations with 4 GB of RAM and 256GB and 512GB configurations with 8 GB of RAM.

BBM the Blackberry messenger was about to get available on Android and iOS, but it is still not available and there are little signs of it coming out. Some claims are that the BBM will be available on Android first and that too only for Samsung's Galaxy smartphones to begin with.

Samsung smart watch coming September 4, earlier than Apple

Samsung is reported to be working on something smart, and its a watch that can make calls, browse the web, handle emails and run some apps. The smartwatch came into the picture with rumours that Apple is working on a smartwatch and soon be making an announcement about it, but there is no Apple in the smartwatch market till now and Samsung is all set for an announcement before Apple.
The watch will be running Android, giving it the power of a smart device. Bloomberg has reported that the device might be named as the Galaxy Gear.
The name Gear mean instead of being an individual gadget it could need a smartphone to make it work, acting more like an accessory for your smartphone, something similar to what Google glass does.

Samsung Galaxy S4 mini coming 20th of June


Samsung is all set to host and event on June 20th and with that it will be coming up with a list of devices. This will not be the event where you can expect Galaxy Note 3 announcement but surely a smaller and cheaper brother of Galaxy S4, the Galaxy S4 mini. S4 mini is expected to be a 4 inches device with a dual-core processor.

The price will be on the lower side but its good to see that Samsung is not giving up on the resolution of the device, it will be a 4-inch qHD 960 x 540 resolution display, comparing it with what they did with Galaxy Grand, the move is in the right direction.

Samsung has a great market in Asia, including countries like China and India where the demand for dual SIM devices are very high. Samsung now has a Dual-SIM variant for their top device as well, that is the Galaxy S4. The Samsung GT-i9502 is the dual-SIM version of Galaxy S4 and is powered by Exynos 5 Octa processor similar to i9500(Galaxy S4).

UK's carrier EE has stated that samsung Galaxy S4 will be officially available from 26th of April on its 4G network. Still there's no word from the carrier about the price of the device but it will be clear when Galaxy S4 will be available for pre-order on 28th of March.

According to the latest statistics from market research firm Strategy Analytics the quarter III sales of the Samsung Galaxy S III have surpassed iPhone 4S sales. This is the first time a smartphone has taken the top spot from Apple's iPhone, but their is a reason for this low sale of Apple's iPhone which made the top spot possible for Galaxy S III.


During this period the rumors were on top for the iPhone 5 release and even the release was just around the corner, which forced people to wait for the new iPhone 5 instead of buying the 4S. The statistics shows that Samsung has sold around 18 million Galaxy S III during the 3rd quarter of 2012 and on the other side Apple has sold 16.2 million iPhone 4S.

Galaxy Music: Samsung ready to rock with some music

Samsung is really rocking and rolling the Galaxy, aahhhhh… not our galaxy Milky Way but the phones in the Galaxy series, which has already taken Samsung on top. Now this one is for music lovers, Samsung officially announces a music phone to their Galaxy series, having galaxy in the name means Android and this time it is Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich in the Samsung Budget phones lineup. The Samsung Galaxy Music will be available in 2 variants one being the regular single SIM and its duos brother with dual SIM.



It will feature a low res 3inches touchscreen and it will be interesting to see how ICS looks on the low res device form Samsung.

Samsung all set to file complain against Apple over iPhone 5

So its time for Samsung to file some patent violation cases against Apple on the use of 4G LTE in the new iPhone 5. Samsung has conformed that it will soon take action in California court after they fully inspect the iPhone 5 as soon as it gets available.


Although it is not certain that Samsung will find something significant against Apple or not, but Samsung expects its lawsuit will cover 8 patents.

Will there be ban on Samsung Phones in the US

As the patent case between Apple and Samsung goes in favor of Apple there are chances that Samsung could face a ban on selling a few Android phones in the US. Still there is time for Samsung, as the hearing on this matter is shifted to December.


We will have to wait till December to get some final words on this, as Apple will be hoping to win this one, Samsung on the other hand will be hoping that they some how escape this.
