Picasa and Blogger to get renamed- google blog and google Photos

Google is looking to rename it's blog and photo brands and get them in the Google circle as Google Blog and Google Photos. The decision was taken in order to get the websites more commonly searchable and mentioned as linked to Google.
The rename is planned before the public release of google plus and may be this is for the new social network.
