Day 55 - Development in progress with one version already in place

It's been so many days since I made an update on the startup journey, things are going good and development is in progress. Already completed one MVP which I am currently using and excited to integrate more features into the application, as it will make it more useful.

The experience I am getting from using this first version is good. Learning a lot about how the app will perform with all the other pieces in place and how important those pieces are to the mix.

Have started working from home now and 2 more teammates are working with me. It has been a stressful journey so far, but very exciting. I will keep posting the significant updates as they happen. 

Day 24 - Continue work on the test app

After a late night with design refinements, it's time to get back to the development of the first module. The task was simple but got into a lot of unexpected issues and was not able to manage time to get the task finished. Was not a complete waste of energy, as those issues gave interesting insights on the platform.

Day 23 - A new place

After a few days of working from home, it was time to start working from the office. I switched to a new co-working space. Started work with refining the flow of the design and found out that the navigation of the application needed improvement. Did some research on some design patterns for navigation in mobile The day went with looking for design alternates and still continuing for better options.

Day 22 - Completing update to Pitch Deck

Now when the new Deck is completed, the idea seems more concrete and refined. Things are looking to good shape and we have a strong base setup to take the next step. It is not so easy to say so much in a few words, but it is really important to do that, as it stretches you to a better understanding. At times things felt like not so important, but if you stick to it, you will soon realize the importance.

Day 21 - Pitch deck

It is now required to update the pitch deck with the new improvisations to the plan and execution strategy. There are a few new features that we have added to the product, which have expanded what more we can do with the data we have. So finalized the design with our new brand message and a refreshed looking deck. The start is good but more information needs to be added and some designs yet to be finalized. Worked a little bit on the API integration as well.

Day 20 - Integrating the test API with the app

Today was all about connecting the test app with the API. Some pieces still need to be put together, just some basic functionality is done and still, a lot left. I need to finish this soon but there are other things also that need my attention and now it is getting tricky to juggle things.

Day 19 - Understanding the tech stack

Experimenting with the app development now. Started working on one of the core modules of the app. It is just for testing out the flow and see how things work in day to day bases. Got stuck in between a lot of things, but things are progressing.

Day 18 - Putting the pieces in place

Continuing setting up the codebase, it was fun putting the pieces in place. Still experimenting with the code and seeing how things work out together, one piece at a time and the approach is working so far. Still, there are a lot of aspects of the application that need to be in place and many things that need to be learned. Things have started with the mobile app, now slowly and slowly need to add the API layer to the app.

Day 17 - Starting with development

Finally started with setting up the initial code. Still needs to learn a few things, but the progress was good, now we have a finalized set of technologies and it's just about putting it all together. Worked on a lot of experiments and sample codes and things are looking well in place. Learning while doing is quite fun.

Day 16 - Working o the Algorithm

Most of the designs are now in place, it's time to just give some time to coding part of the application. I have been working on simple prototype API for one of the algorithms, so it was time to pull it up again and work on it. It was a good start, but still, a lot of work is left in this.
